ADIDAS SUPERSTAR ? SUPRISINGLY THE BEST CHOICE

Shoes weren’t always such a big deal.  There was a time when people wore shoes to protect their feet, and the thought of paying more than $100 for a pair of shoes was completely laughable.  There was a time when popular culture had not yet gotten a grip on the lowly foot.  Somewhere along the road, everything changed: shoes became coveted fashion pieces, popular and pricey design statements, and symbols of athletic prowess.  Today, performance footwear has evolved into a culture in its own right, with celebrity endorsements and multimillion-dollar ad campaigns.  Many popular brands are now household names, and consumers are willing to pay a premium for high-end sneakers.

The Adidas Superstar is one of the iconic shoes of the performance footwear tradition.  First noted for its "shelltoe" design, the shoe became wildly popular in the NBA and then took off as one of Adidas’ top sellers.  Several factors contributed to its success, many of which are seen in other popular shoes as well: first, the sleek design turns heads and gets customers’ attention; second, the shoe offers reliable performance, and third, word-of-mouth publicity carried the shoe to the top of the charts.

The Superstar’s design is best characterized by the strip of vertical bars along the side, a standard Adidas look that makes the shoe easily recognizable.  The shoe’s look revolves around simplicity, with a stripped-down basic exterior.  It lacks the fancy bells and whistles of some of its competitor shoes, opting instead for a simple black-and-white block appearance.  There is a magic in the simplicity, however, for instead of relying on shiny inserts and colorful swirls, the shoe has a classic, stand-alone elegance, bringing it a step above the rest.

Athletic shoes appeal to both athletes and laypeople, and this mass appeal is the key to their tremendous success.  Basketball players look for performance while the average customer looks for a great design, and somewhere in between, the Superstar has found its niche.  By appealing to the best of both worlds, the shoe found its audience: not exclusively high-end athletes, but regular Joes as well.  For example, there are a few things to consider when choosing a great running shoe, and the Superstar offers performance and comfort at a reasonable price.  At the same time, basketball players find the shoe easy to wear and beneficial to their game…providing customers with the added panache of wearing a shoe praised by basketball stars.

While professional athletes kicked off the success of the Superstar, the shoe’s publicity became a fascinating grassroots effort.  The shoe spread like wildfire through the NBA, after which consumers naturally began snatching the shoe off the shelves.  The more people wore the shoe around, the more others wanted to try it for themselves.  Musicians, especially rap stars, took their turn in promoting the shoe, and it eventually became a cultural phenomenon.  The Superstar represents the performance shoe tradition, the desire to wear the best and the coolest shoe.  On top of this, it captures the surprisingly strong bond people can form with their footwear.  The Superstar is the classic choice for people who love their shoes.

Maintain A Healthy Heart

Heart healthy advice, most of which is common sense, really, but we live such busy lives we take our organ the heart for granted until something goes wrong and it is too late. I know I did just that thinking my body would last forever no matter how I abused it with no exercise and all the rubbish I put down my throat and left the poor old body to deal with it.

A wake up call but why wait for that when it really is so simple to look after our heart and lets face it, it does most of the work! Some simple tips avoid high fat and high sugar foods, eat vegetables and fruit, choose vegetable oil over animal oil, eat fish especially those that give us more beneficial fatty acids, reduce salt intake, choose wholegrain bread over white bread, give up smoking, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day(amazing what water can do for so much of the body but that is another time) keeping down weight, excercise, relax and less stress. All really simple but we are too busy to take note. All these small steps each day ensure better oxygen flow, better Nitric Oxide production and thus we maintain a heathy heart and a longer life.

Men are at greater risk than women, age also as the body ages the organs work less effectively, and hereditary if parents have heart problems you are more likely to also. Did you know Niteworks is a scientific breakthrough which was developed together with Nobel Laureate Lou Ignarro who has dedicated his life to research of the health enhancing benefit of Nitric Oxide. This is an essential function within the body so important to general well being.

You see excercise causes the blood to flow freely through the veins and is a major generator of Ntric Oxide, fruit and vegatables are also generators of Nitric Oxide. So when we are told to eat fruit everyday it can only do us so much good. There is much on heart and the rest of the body to read up and research but this is a little bit of information that I hope helps us all sit up and take note. It is after all for our own benefit.

How to Lose Body Fat

Many people spend a lot of time and money learning how to lose body fat. This is why the fat and weight loss industry is a booming one. As we age, our metabolism rate drops and it is easy to gain fat and weight. However, we do not have to allow ourselves to grow fat if we choose not to.

So what exactly is the answer to how to lose body fat?

You see, losing body fat can be easily achievable if you follow the right steps. And they are summed up as proper diet and regular exercise. Unfortunately, most people either do one or the other but not both. Also, those who exercise may only work out one part of their body such as their arms but not the others and hence do not burn off as much fat as they could.

Aerobic exercise is necessary. 3 or 4 times of such activity is good for burning fat.

At the same time, make sure that your daily food and liquid intakes do not exceed your daily consumption rate. When your body fails to use up the surplus energy, it is stored as fat. To beat that, physical activities like walking around, climbing stairs, carrying out household chores, etc will all help you consume those excess energies.

In today's context, most of our adults spend their time in the offices rather than out in the field doing laborious jobs. When you do not expend as much as you consume, you will definitely gain weight quickly. Exercising at least 3 times a week is therefore a must if you can identify yourself as in such a similar situation. You also need to watch what you eat.

In order to lose body fat, there are a few practical steps you can take. Keep a record of what food and beverage you consume in a day, ie know your calorie intake count. This will allow you to know how much workout or physical activity is needed for you to consume the energy provided by your intake. Increase the amount of physical activity and you will be able to burn off more fat.

Another approach to this is to reduce the food that you eat. For a start, reducing your intake by 500 cal is good enough. Steadily and gradually increase this number.

Depending how fast you want to lose body fat, you will have to calculate the number of hours of workout as well as the choice of exercise that is necessary for you to lose the specific weight. With a plan like this, your weight and fat loss progress is measurable and predictable.

Most people fail due to the lack of consistency and persistence. You need to have the determination to do it. Head knowledge alone is just not enough. Tell a friend whom you can account to so that he or she will remind you of your plan when you start to stray away. You now have the answer to "how to lose body fat". It is time to take action!
